Some cracking matches are lined up for this weekend and could determine the teams that qualify for the World Cup.

Italy hosts Switzerland this Friday night for a chance to top Group C. Both teams have the same number of points and will both qualify for at least the playoffs. The Azzurri have not been in great form recently. A month ago, Roberto Mancini’s men lost their unbeaten record to Spain in the UEFA Nations League semifinals.

England entertains Albania on Saturday night. They will be desperate for a win to consolidate the top spot in Group I with Poland lurking.

Belgium will take on Estonia in what looks like an easy encounter. The Red Devils could take a step to qualification with a win in Group E.

Croatia will battle Russia at home on Sunday night. The visitors lead Group H with two points. This has the makings of a feisty encounter.

Spain will seal qualification with a win against a tricky Sweden side. La Roja benefited from Sweden’s loss to Georgia in the week. Luis Enrique’s men have their work cut out.

Portugal will meet Serbia on Sunday night. Both teams have the same number of points in Group A. However, A Selecao needs just a draw to qualify.

Montenegro will take on the Netherlands as Poland and Hungary lock horns.
