Exciting Betting Tips from Europe’s Top Leagues
After the exertions of continental football in midweek, Europe’s top football leagues are back in action this weekend. There are more than a few juicy fixtures on Saturday and Sunday to place bets on. Let’s take a look at these seven carefully selected betting picks from Europe’s major leagues.
Manchester City VS West Ham
The Cityzens have won six of their last seven games against West Ham with Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of those victories. After defeating Borussia Monchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, they have now won their last 19 matches in all competitions.
They are looking unstoppable and are already being crowned as Premier League winners-elect. Sergio Aguero saw 10 minutes of action in Hungary after a long lay-off while Kevin de Bruyne was rested in midweek.
West Ham have been very good as well in the Premier League three wins in their last five matches propelling them into fourth place on the log. They have also been in good scoring form of late, recording Over 2.5 Goal outcomes in four of their last five matches in the league.
Tip – Man City to Win & Over 2.5 Goals
Newcastle United VS Wolverhampton Wanderers
Newcastle welcomes Wolverhampton Wanderers to St James Park having lost 14 games already this season, their worst return since the 1977/1978 season. However, with wingers, Miguel Almiron & Allan Saint-Maximan finding some form in the absence of Callum Wilson, the Magpies are beginning to find the back of the net more regularly.
Wolves are enjoying their best run since October as they come here on the back of three stratight victories and a draw in their last four Premier League games. G/G outcomes have been recoreded in five of the last six meetings between these sides.
Of these games, four have ended in a 1-1 draw scoreline, a similar outcome is expected to happen again.
With goal-shy strikers; Joelinton (Newcastle United) and Fabio Silva (Wolverhampton Wanderers) on both sides, the pressure will be on the wingers to deliver.
While the Almiron/Saint-Maximan duo is key for Newcastle, Pedro Neto and Adama Traore will be the go-to men for Wolves.
Tip – G/G
Leicester City VS Arsenal FC
Leicester beat Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates in October and has won four of the duo’s last seven encounters in league and cup matches.
James Madison and Harvey Barnes have taken up even more prominent roles alongside Jamie Vardy in Brendan Rodgers’ team while other players ease back gradually from injury.
Arsenal will be returning from a Europa League tie and might find back-to-back away games unfavorable due to fatigue. Leicester has won the corresponding fixture in the last 3 seasons on the bounce.
The hosts have also won four of their last six matches and look like a genuine Champions League team, while Arsenal has lost three of their last five outings.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka, Nicholas Pepe and Emile Smith-Rowe will be the players that Mikel Arteta will be relying on to get the goods over the Foxes
Tip – G/G
Chelsea VS Manchester United
Fresh from an inspiring win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Chelsea will be eager to face the challenge that Manchester United will pose on Sunday.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have now found the back of the net in every game he has managed bar the first against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Manchester United though, has the third best away record in the Premier League and will surely be looking to exploit any gaps in the Chelsea defence.
Bruno Fernandes is United’s main threat going forward as the Portuguese has contributed to more goals of any player in the Premier League this season. There have been G/G outcomes in three of the last six meetings while the first clash of the season ended in a horrible 0-0 draw.
Tuchel will be looking to Olivier Giroud to deliver the goods once again. He will also be hoping that the likes of Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Mason Mount come to the fore for the Blues.
Tip – Over 1.5 Goals
RB Leipzig VS Borussia Monchengladbach
After a very tepid display in the Champions League against Manchester City, Gladbach have now only won one of their last five matches across all competitions, scoring just four times. Thankfully for Die Fohlen (The Foals), French forward, Marcus Thuram is back from injury.
They face a Leipzig side that has claimed four wins from their last six games against them. Die Roten Bullen (The Red Bulls) are flying in the Bundesliga right now with won five of their last five games and are now just two points behind league leaders, Bayern Munich.
RB Leipzig’s recognized forwards; Alexander Sorloth and Hwang Hee-Chan have struggled for goals this season so expect the midfielders and wingers; Marcel Sabitzer, Dani Olmo, Christophe Nkunku et al to be the go-to men for Julian Nagelsmann’s side.
Lars Stindl alongside the likes of Patrick Hoffmann, Florian Neuhaus and co. will be gunning for a win to help their flagging hopes of making it to the UCL again next season.
Tip – RB Leipzig to win
AS Roma VS AC Milan
AS Roma welcomes Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan to the Stadio Olimpico in a game that could have huge ramifications in the race for the Scudetto.
The Giallorossi (The Yellow-Reds) were unable to fully benefit from Benevento having a man sent off in their last match, playing a 0 – 0 draw. AC Milan fared worse with a 3 – 0 defeat against Inter Milan in the Derby Della Madonnina (Milan Derby).
AS Roma has scored an average of 2 goals per game in their last 12 home matches in the Serie A this season. AC Milan has averaged a goal every game in their last 11 away matches in the league.
Over 2.5 goals have been scored in three of the last five meetings between both teams. At least three goals have also been scored in three of Roma’s last six games while the same has happened in five of AC Milan’s last six matches in all competitions.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been in a bit of a dry spell since that amazing purple patch early in the season while Edin Dzeko has had an off-colour season.
The Rossoneri (Black and Red) will be looking once again to Zlatan Ibrahimovic to help get them back to winning ways.
Tip – Over 2.5 Goals
Sevilla CF VS F.C Barcelona
Julen Lopetegui’s Sevilla is absolutely flying in La Liga right now and finds itself atop the form table having won six on the trot. In this run, they have kept a clean sheet in five of those games.
Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomes seems to be settling in well and will pose a major threat to what has been a shoddy Barcelona defence for the most parts. Lionel Messi scored twice and assisted one in midweek but Ronald Koeman’s team has not impressed in big games this season.
Sevilla beat Barcelona 2-0 earlier this month when the pair went head-to-head in the Copa del Rey. Their clashes in the last two encounters prior to that cup clash both ended in stalemates.
Sevilla has only lost one of their last six matches in all competitions, while Barcelona has failed to win three of their last five outings.
Youssef En-Nesyri has been on form for Los Nervionenses (The Ones from Nervión) with great support from Ivan Rakitic and co.
Tip – 1X
