Superb action beckons in Gameweek 25 of the Premier League

Arteta will look to get one over his mentor; Guardiola in the Premier League

It is crunch time as the English Premier League enters game week 25. Every club now has a clear idea of its status, possibilities, and objectives going forward. This weekend promises goals, intense emotions, and the usual VAR drama.

There is a huge matter of the Merseyside derby between Everton and an awfully out-of-form Liverpool. It promises to be nerve-wracking as both teams eye a win to get their season back on track.

Mikel Arteta will be looking to get one over his mentor, Pep Guardiola, and his troops when they come visiting. While the odds favour Manchester City, the Gunners are capable of causing an upset like they did in last season’s FA Cup.

Review Of Gameweek 24

The previous Gameweek did not disappoint as it produced lots of sensational goals, controversy, and excitement.

However, most noteworthy was the excellence of defending by the clubs. Gameweek 24 recorded six clean sheets out of ten games.

Leicester City took advantage of a 7-minute implosion by Liverpool to win 3-1 at the King Power stadium.

Matt Lowton scored a spectacular volley for Burnley to help defeat a lacklustre Crystal Palace 3-1.

Ilkay Gundogan was once again on target as Manchester City continued their magisterial form with a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur while Brighton and Aston Villa played out a goalless draw.

Southampton continued to slip badly as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers in Sunday’s early kick-off.

West Brom pulled off a spirited performance to hold an off-colour Manchester United to a 1-1 draw.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first-ever Premier League hat-trick as the Gunners outclassed Leeds United 4-2.

Nigeria International, Joshua Maja scored a brace on his debut as relegation strugglers, Fulham got the better of Everton.

West Ham moved up to fifth place on the League table with a convincing 3-0 win over bottom-placed Sheffield United as Chelsea rolled to a 2-0 win over Newcastle United.
