Phew!
Club football is back.
I have to confess that I’m not one of the biggest fans of the international weekend and I’m glad that we have that behind us, at least until the end of the season.
So, I am back to giving you great tips on some of the games across Europe this weekend.
LEICESTER CITY VS MAN CITY
One of the first things I will tell anyone is, if you can avoid all the teams that will be in European action this week, please do.
With the number of games played over the last 10 days, traveling by players and eyes on midweek action, there will be notable changes made by managers which could impact games.
One of such games is this clash at the King Power Stadium. The reverse fixture saw a total massacre of Pep Guardiola’s side. That seems so far away now as the Cityzens are Premier League champions-elect.
This means he might as well rest a few key players ahead of playing Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.
What that tells me is Leicester has good chances to score. I’m going for GG in this encounter as my first pick. And at 1.88 odds on Betbiga, I would jump on it.
Can City win this one with the possible absence of some key players? Will Kelechi Iheanacho continue his good scoring form against his former team?
Difficult to answer. But I think a less difficult pick would be the game to end in a draw at Half-Time. Betbiga has a Half-Time draw set at 2.33 odds. Well worth a risk if you ask me.
I expect goals here though. Over 2.5 is set at 1.80 odds on Betbiga. This should come through; so, jump on it.
HEERENVEEN VS AJAX
Ajax has been in scintillating form in the Eredivisie, winning five of their last five games. The opponents, on the other hand have only managed one win in five, losing three.
Crucially, Ajax hasn’t lost to Heerenveen in their previous seven meetings. Matter of fact, they’ve won six of these encounters.
However, this game is coming with Ajax’s impending midweek action against AS Roma in the Europa League. Like I said earlier, that means you should tread with caution.
I do not expect plenty of goals here. I know Ajax scored five in their last game before the break but before that, it was two goals respectively in two games. I’m predicting Under 3.5 for this one.
This is 1.90 odds on Betbiga. I still think the away side will win irrespective of who the manager puts out. 1.26 is the odds & this should be enough for your accumulators.
RB LEIPZIG VS BAYERN MUNICH
The international break was not great for Bayern who lost their star man and arguably Europe’s most in-form footballer – Robert Lewandowski.
Add the mid-week monster clash with PSG on the horizon, then you will admit that this top-of-the-table clash in the Bundesliga isn’t coming at the right time for Hansi Flick’s men.
Leipzig, on the other hand will relish the challenge. They are four points behind their opponents and a win at home will guarantee we might see a photo finish as we head into the final stretch of the season.
There have been at least three goals in Bayern’s last eight games. Although Leipzig has had less than three in four of their last five games, I expect goals here. Over 2.5 on Betbiga is 1.50 odds.
GG is another option I expect to come through for this game. It’s set at 1.40 odds. GG and over 2.5 isn’t another bad choice at 1.67 odds.
