Hello Punters, this week has been all about the rise and fall of the Super League.
But the weekend is here again and thank goodness we’ve put that distraction behind us.
So, let’s take a look at some of the games across Europe.

LIVERPOOL vs NEWCASTLE
Jurgen Klopp’s side was hit this week on two fronts – the Super League crisis and the last-minute equalizer from Leeds that derailed their Top 4 chase.
But this Saturday, Liverpool will have a chance to get back to winning ways. They face off against a resurgent Newcastle side who have won their last two games.
However, the head-to-head record in this fixture favors the home side who have won five of the past seven meetings with two draws in between.
I expect a home win in this encounter with not many goals. Home win and under 3.5 is set at 2.04 odds on BetBiga.
If you want to take a risk with high odds, then an HT draw is a probability. BetBiga has this at 2.70 odds. Or you can as well just add a home win as one of your accumulator games. Liverpool win is set at 1.27 odds.
ZENIT vs ROTOR
Zenit are on the verge of winning the Russian league and this week they play against a team that has lost their last five games.
This should be one of the most straightforward games this weekend.
Zenit has won four of their last five with their opponents losing all five.
Also, there have been at least three goals in four of Zenit’s last five games so I am going with goals for this game. Over 2.5 is set at 1.45 odds on BetBiga.
I would also go one step further with this game and go with over 3.5 at 2.04 odds on BetBiga.
I don’t think the away side will score. They have managed to score in two of their last five games but I don’t see them doing so against the league leaders.

VILLARREAL vs BARCELONA
Barca could be 5 points behind the league leaders by the time this game is played and as such, will be under pressure to get a result.
On the other hand, Villareal has a European semi-final to think about while preparing for this game. This means we do have a big battle on our hands.
Both teams are in great goal-scoring form and have scored in all of their last five games. So, my first punt here will be GG. This is 1.60 odds on BetBiga.
I’m also expecting at least three goals for this encounter. You can play over 2.5 which is set at 1.59 odds.
An away win might be difficult but not impossible. A Barca win is set at 1. 73 odds.
WOLFSBERGER vs SALZBURG
If you’re a frequent reader of my columns here, you’d know I never miss a chance to tell you about the Austrian Bundesliga. That’s because Salzburg is one of my favorites.
This week, they play Wolfsberger away from home. A Salzburg win is almost guaranteed and that could fill your accumulator slip with 1.29 odds.
I would also go for a combo of an away win and GG. That is offered on BetBiga at 2.04 odds.
I also expect at least four goals in this game. At 1.66 odds for over 3.5, not a bad option.
